60 OBI and Straight Side Presses (up to and including 200 ton), Bed sizes up to and including 60" x 42", Material thickness: .015" to .250", typically made from HR/CR 1006-1050 steel or aluminum (Wald will consider other materials that fit within our capabilities), Wald has both progressive and compound dies which run automatically from coiled steel, as well as hand fed press operations
TUBING CUT-OFF/BENDING PRODUCTS:
Custom benders, Thread rolling (up to 1" diameter), End forming (up to 1" diameter), Can turn shapes such as chamfers, steps and angles on tubing , Cutting tubing to length, utilizing machines that are automatically loaded with 16-ft. long lengths of tubing 1/4" to 1" diameter typically made from 1008-1020 (Wald will consider other materials that fit within our capabilities)
WIRE FABRICATION:
Straightening/Cut-off & Bending, Resistance welding, Thread rolling (up to 1/2" diameter), Shaving (pointing) machines Up to 1/2" diameter, typically made from 1008-1038
WELDING:
Resistance press type welders, up to and including 200 KVA - Resistance rocker arm welders, up to and including 50 KVA - Butt welders, 20 KVA - "T" welders, 35 KVA - MIG welding (lathe and straight line)
HEAT TREATING:
Two 30" x 48" x 30" Integral Quench Heat Treating Furnaces (batch type), Two 30" x 48" x 30" Tempering Furnaces, Wald has over 50 years' experience in carburizing, carbonitriding, neutral hardening and tempering
POWDER COATING:
With 6-stage pretreatment (wash, rinse, phosphate, rinse, seal and rinse), Maximum part size 24" high x 12" wide x 4' long, Wald has over 50 years' experience in powder coating
PLATING:
Automatic nickel-chrome rack plating - rack size 24" x 15" x 54", Automatic zinc rack plating - rack size 32" x 17" x 58", Two Automatic zinc barrel plating lines, Trivalent chromates, Wald has over 50 years' experience in plating, with in-house pretreatment and waste management facilities, and operates within state and local permit requirements
